Course Objectives Recognizing emotions, operation mechanisms, gaining the skills to improve our life quality by managing negative emotions in daily life and psychological problems.
Course Content
Learning Outcomes (LO) By the end of this course, the students will: 1. Name their emotions 2. Gain awareness for negative emotions 3. Plan depression, anxiety and anger management, among fundamental negative emotions 4. Have knowledge about preventing negative emotions and personal development 5. Improve in coping with the daily life stresses and tensions

1. Week Defining our emotions, the relationship between emotions and our health
2. Week The concept of Emotional Intelligence
3. Week The root of our emotions, the relationship between thought, emotion and behaviour, REDT, introduction to the rationalist, emotional behaviour approach
4. Week Self CBE (cognitive-behavioral-emotional) analysis
5. Week Irrational beliefs and self talk
6. Week Managing our emotions, catching our beliefs and self talk (hunting)
7. Week Midterm
8. Week Inspection and the ABC approach to emotions
9. Week Cognitive distortions and thought mistakes
10. Week Deep respiration and muscle relaxation exercises
11. Week The definition of anxiety, the ABC approach to anxiety
12. Week The definition of anger, and the ABC approach to anger management
