Course Objectives |
This course aims to equip teacher candidates with the innovative use of new technologies in foreign language teaching.

Course Content |
This course deals with innovations in learning technologies for English Language Teaching. It deals with the following contexts of language learning: primary, secondary and adult learners. It also deals with the following specialist areas: Business English, English for Specific Purposes and English for Academic Purposes, and finally the assessment of language using technology. Each topic embeds a number of real-life case studies into a framework of research. The deals with some of the developments in the field, and a wide range of technologies is covered. |
Learning Outcomes (LO) |
At the end of this course students will acquire the following:
LO1. Innovative use of ICTs in foreign language teaching,
LO2. New developments in methodology,
LO3. Modern approaches to course and materials design, and
LO4. 21st century language theory in FL teaching.
