Course Objectives To gain information about the problems experienced by looking at the developments in the Turkish education system and to be able to extrapolate the problems that may be experienced
Course Content The course titled “The History of Turkish Education” includes studying education as a fact from the earliest times to recent years, introducing its institutional structure; it is also discussed how to use the knowledge learned in solving today’s social problem
Learning Outcomes (LO) The students who attended the course and were successful at the end of the semester will acquire the followings: 1. Know the story of Turkish education from the pre-Islamic times to the recent years. 2. Know the educational ideas and movements aiming at finding solutions for the social problems. 3. Be able to use the knowledge learned to construct the future.
