To understand the theoretical foundations of creative drama
To ensure the development of self-expression through drama
To ensure the development of self-expression of learners
To help students notice their physical, mental, emotional and social skills and to ensure the development of these skills
To ensure the performance of creative drama skills in language teaching

| Course Content |
Drama is a course which is an area of a method, artistic education-aesthetic and creative drama with animation of general objectives. It is a course which provides theoretical and practical knowledge, focuses on the responsibilities of English teachers in using creative drama, highlights the effectiveness of students’ universal development which is cognitive, affective and psychomotor development, emphasizes the importance of the relation of games and drama and provides students knowledge and skill with the use of practical activities. |
| Learning Outcomes (LO) |
The students who attended the course and were successful at the end of semester will acquire the followings;
LO1 – to know the essential techniques of improvisation, mime and role-playing with meaning and scope of creative drama
LO2 – to have the ability of developing students’ awareness of their mental, emotional and social skills
