Course Objectives To be able to detect problems associated with language by providing principles of effective monitoring and evaluation and the ability to give corrections.
Course Content Classroom-based research, teacher-centered research, action research, identification of the problems associated with learners' languages and remedial teaching activities, principles of effective monitoring and evaluation of learners, methods that are based on current trends, national and international professional organizations (eg. TESOL and INGED) and practical journals (eg. English Teaching Forum, ELTJ, TESLJ and TESL Reporter)
Learning Outcomes (LO) The students who attended the course and were successful at the end of semester will acquire the followings; LO1 – to compare and perform classroom-based research, teacher -centered research and action research LO2 – to identify problems associated with language of learners and know the principles of evaluation LO3 – to know the principles of effective monitoring and evaluation LO4 – to follow national and international professional organizations, events and practical journals
