Course Objectives |
Learning different essay types and writing techniques |
Course Content |
Critical thinking ability, deduction through inductive and deductive techniques and advanced reading sub-skills such
as reading between the lines; examination of the information in reading texts, comparing with considering factors such
as totality, consistency and layout and writing essays as a response with a critical and merging approach, producing
texts of various essay types such as contrastive, categorical, cause and effect and discussion, library and internet
scanning, creating references. |
Learning Outcomes (LO) |
The students who attended the course and were successful at the end of semester will acquire the followings;
LO1 – Using the critical thinking ability which is one of the advanced sub-skills
LO2 - Understanding inductive and deductive techniques and reading between the lines
LO3 – Writing essays with a critical approach by analyzing the information of reading texts
LO4 - Writing essays of various essay types by considering factors such as totality, consistency and layout |
