Course Objectives Delineation of educational psychology, research methods, development and learning psychology and theories, motivation , effective teaching and learning, effective classroom environment and classroom management.
Course Content Educational Psychology on the findings of the psychology of learning and development, education and training, branch of science and how it happens.
Learning Outcomes (LO) The students who attended the course and were successful at the end of semester will acquire the followings; LO1 – being able to know about how children grow and learn LO2 – being able to know effective teaching and learning techniques LO3 - being able to know the ways of effective teaching

1. Week Content of educational psychology. Research methods in educational psychology
2. Week Cognitive development. Piaget’s and Vygotsky’s theories of development
3. Week Language development and read-write development
4. Week Emotional and social development. Erikson’s theory of psycho-social development
5. Week Moral development. Piaget’s and Kohlberg’s theories
6. Week Variety of students, exceptional children and gifted children. Individual differences between the students from the point of intelligence and learning styles.
7. Week Mid-term exam
8. Week Learning psychology. Behaviorist learning theories. Basic principles of behaviorist learning. Watson and Skinner
9. Week Social learning theories: Albert Bandura’s theory. Observational learning
10. Week Information processing and cognitive learning theories. Memory, remembering and forgetting
11. Week Verbal learning
12. Week Which study strategies facilitate learning?
13. Week Direct instruction and effective course. Students can learn how competent?
