Course Objectives The aim of the course is to investigate areas in which the contently rich literary texts can be used in language teaching and to show how literature can artistically and linguistically enrich language teaching and its students.
Course Content In this course quotations taken from all of the selected short stories and novels are examined in terms of language and style and examples of various activities showing how these works are used in language teaching are presented. Furthermore, students are expected to practice out teaching with one of the works they chose.
Learning Outcomes (LO) The students who attended the course and were successful at the end of semester will acquire the followings; LO1 – to use literature in language teaching LO2 – to use literary texts in class
