Course Objectives Emphasizing the importance of Counselling and Psychological Guidance in a students private and school life.
Course Content Basic concepts and principles of counseling and guidance, history of guidance, types of guidance. Methods of research and assessment, process of counseling, theories of counseling. Ethics and legal concerns.
Learning Outcomes (LO) At the end of this course students are expected to have a thorough understanding of: 1) The integrative nature of Counselling and Psychological Guidance in modern education, 2) The team mentality of those working in this field directly and indirectly, 3) The three components of counselling that are educational, vocational and individual, 4) Inclusion in special education with which they can develop the necessary skills to promote, implement and start off such practices in their future careers.
