Course Objectives The objectives of this course are to introduce, examine and practice profession oriented basic concepts and cases; to develop the English communication skills needed to succeed in political science and international relations and to enlarge student's English knowledge regarding these fields.
Course Content The course will address the reading, listening, writing and speaking aspects of English used in political science and international relations with emphasis on subjects such as state, power, system, foreign policy, hegemony, international organizations, etc. Also, exercises, case studies and scientific articles will be discussed in detail.
Learning Outcomes (LO) Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to; 1- Understand the basic professional terms, texts and listenings, 2- Communicate in English in a wide range of issues of Political Science and International Relations, 3- Become more fluent and confident in using their professional foreing language, 4- Follow up foreign publications, 5- Do official correspondence, combine their professioanl knowledge with foreign language abilities, 6- Get proficiency on expressing themselves in foreign language.
