Course Objectives The aims of this lesson are to help the higher education students in order to develop the use and understanding of their native language, to create a consciousness towards the importance of native language, to improve the students’ writing and speaking skills so that they can use the language correct and well.

Learning Outcomes (LO) 1-Defines the concepts of language, culture and civilization. 2-Knows the properties of the Turkish language, knows the rules of procedure and shows examples. 3-Describes the properties and the periodic historical development of Turkish language. 4-Knows and applies the rules of spelling. 5-Punctuation marks, features and knows how to use them. 6-Thinking types 8scientific, skeptical, critical interpretive, creative and constructive thinking) knows and applies.
